Those stones are still on the bridge and I myself lifted one in each hand on many occasions and one market day, I carried them across the bridge and back, some four to five yards - Donald Dinnie.

Jim has recorded an amazing total of 64 lifts between the years 1973 - 1990 and remains the lightest lifter to date. Jim and his wife Rosemary attend every Dinnie Stone event and take photographs and videos. Their amazing work catalogues the ongoing history of the stones for future generations. Jim also provides help and advice to hopeful lifters sharing his vast experience in lifting the stones.
